TCT enhances
its solution offerings with wireless technology interfaces:
El Segundo, CA - May 2, 2000. Transnational Computer Technology
(TCT) has just announced the release of a SARA2000 upgrade that
provides a wireless interface to mobile agents, such as cell phones
and pagers. This new feature is expected to finally solve the long-standing
problem of transmitting real-time information between field engineers
and the dispatchers.
Traditionally,
field technicians had a difficult time communicating with their
headquarters and receiving assignments and proper instructions on
time. The pioneering technology used in creating the latest SARA
upgrade, offers an inexpensive and reliable way to build a two-way
communications bridge between the field personnel and the dispatchers.
Equipped only
with a basic cell phone or pager, field technicians can receive
a "laundry list" of their daily tasks, comprehensive customer and
product information, driving instructions, and other valuable data.
They can also transmit their service call updates and other messages
back to the dispatchers.
"An ability
to exchange data with their field engineers, has a very real value
to the organizations who send technicians to their customers sites,"
says Shawn Kim, the V.P of Marketing for TCT. "It ensures that each
technician will know all his tasks, that service calls will be completed
on time, and that the dispatchers will be able to manage and monitor
their field personnel."
TCT offers integrated
information system solutions for service management. SARA2000 (Service
And Repair Automation) is the industry's premier customer service
and support management system, which provides an integrated set
of modules for call management, help desk, field service, depot
repair, inventory control, sales support, warranty verification,
claims processing, service marketing, contract administration, and
Internet-based support. Historically a leader in the depot repair
automation, TCT has recently used its technological expertise to
revolutionize field service management as well with its 1999 release
of SARA 6.4
